Elise Artistry is hiring a part-time Associate Photographer to add to our photography team for this summer (June–August 2026). This is a 3-month contract based in the Minneapolis area with flexible hours, great for someone who wants to grow their portfolio and get more experience working with real clients. Perfect opportunity for wedding photographers who want quick weekday sessions without having to manage clients, run another business, or edit additional full galleries.

Job Details

• Job Type: Part-time, Temporary, Contract, Internship

• Location: Minneapolis area (required)

• Dates: June–August 2026

• Hours: 15–20 hours per week, flexible

• Schedule: Mostly Monday–Friday

  • Assisting sessions: Mon–Thurs, 5:30–8:00 pm

  • Leading your own senior sessions: up to 5 sessions/week, 6:00–8:00 pm

What You’ll Do

Photography & Clients

• Photograph clients (mainly high school seniors)

• Lead and shoot your own senior sessions

• Assist the head photographer during senior sessions

• Help clients feel comfortable and confident during their shoot

• Communicate directly with clients to plan sessions and details

Behind-the-Scenes Content

• Capture behind-the-scenes iPhone videos during sessions

• Upload BTS videos to a shared iCloud photo album

File Management & Delivery

• Upload photo files to an online gallery within 24 hours of each shoot

• Deliver unedited JPEG images to clients via online gallery within 24 hours

• Send RAW files after clients select their favorite images

Professionalism & Prep

• Arrive to shoots fully prepared with:

  • Charged backup camera batteries

  • Working SD cards

  • All needed gear in good condition

• Communicate clearly and honestly with the team

• Be friendly, professional, and able to follow directions

Requirements & Preferences

• Availability: Consistent June–August 2026

• Location: Based in or near Minneapolis

• Software: Adobe Lightroom experience is a plus, but not required

• Skills:

  • Strong photography and people skills

  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• Experience: 3+ years of photography experience (preferred)

Compensation

• Assistant Compensation: $20/hour (when assisting the head photographer)

• Associate Compensation: $300/session (1.5–2 hour senior sessions)

Training & Growth

In June:

• Shadow and assist the head photographer 3–4 times

• Learn our posing, workflow, and client experience

In July & August:

• Lead up to 5 of your own senior sessions per week

• Build a polished, portfolio-ready body of work
